PROJECT DAYDREAM GIRLS' ENSEMBLE
An auditioned vocal performance group for girls in 6th through 10th
grades. Singers will study advanced repertoire in 3-5 part harmony in
many styles including classical, jazz and broadway, which are presented in
a public concert at the end of the 12 week semester. Through these
pieces, we also explore the basics of healthy vocal technique, musical
terminology and musical/dramatic expression. In addition to our concerts,
the Girls' Ensemble is often asked to perform for local businesses and
organizations in the area, including the Detroit Public Library and
the Detroit Children's Museum.
Day: THURSDAY EVENINGS
Time: 6:00p.m.-7:30p.m.

NEW VOCAL PROGRAM FOR MEN & WOMEN!!!
PERFORMANCE ENSEMBLE WORKSHOP
Designed for a small group of experienced singers age 14-19 [both men
and women], this auditioned workshop is intended to give young
performers the opportunity to sing in small ensembles with other serious voice
students. During the 12 week semester, we will study duets, trios and
full scenes from various musical theater and opera productions both
musically and dramatically. These selections will be presented in a public
concert at the end of the semester. Through these selections, we will
also explore the unique challenges of blending timbre and harmony in
small ensemble singing. Please note, this workshop is meant to be a
supplement for serious vocal study and though not required, preference may
be given to those actively studying with a voice teacher.
Day: MONDAY EVENINGS
Time: 6:00p.m.-7:30p.m.
