The Woolgatherer

by William Mastrosimone

“The Woolgatherer” is a darkly comic love story involving ROSE, a shy and kooky dime store salesgirl, who desperately searches for love and understanding amidst the debris of an insensitive world.  Enter CLIFF, a hard-drinking and wise-cracking trucker, who appears to be an unlikely suitor for the delicate and vulnerable ROSE.  What follows is a serio-comic exploration of the attraction between two opposites, and their frenetic yet universal search for the solace of human companionship.
