This five week course will teach the basic skills of improv performing by covering such topics as scene creation and advancement, character development methods, object work, and much more. We will also be covering the rules and tricks to many different improv games such as those seen at The Second City Theatre and on television shows like WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY. This five week, crash course will walk you through many tricks of the trade and provide advice on how to pursue more on your own. All are welcome! If the idea of improv is completely foreign or perhaps terrifying to you, this is the chance to get over it. If you're an actor or actress who has been asked about your improv experience and had to answer, "I don't have any.", this is your chance to tell them yes and back it up with words and action. Even if you already have previous improv training or experience, this is a excellent opportunity to get back to the basics, learn from a seasoned performer, and network with others.
